Everything together
Your final HTML project: a recipe page that a search engine understands, a screen reader navigates easily, and any phone displays well. Next course: CSS, to make it beautiful.
Check your work like a pro
Before calling a page finished, professional developers run through a checklist. Use this one for your recipe page — and for every page you build after it.
- Validate: paste your HTML into the W3C validator (validator.w3.org) and fix every error.
- Outline: one h1, headings in order, every section with a heading.
- Images: meaningful alt text, width and height on every img.
- Keyboard: Tab through the page — every link reachable, focus visible.
- Head: specific title, description, viewport, Open Graph tags.
- Phone: open it on a phone or a narrow window — no sideways scrolling.
None of these checks needs CSS or JavaScript. A page that passes them already works for search engines, screen readers, slow connections and small screens. Everything you add in the CSS course will sit on top of that solid base — which is why HTML comes first.
